When you are old

When you are old portrays an older man talking to one of his past lovers. The revisit much Lateran life when they are, “old grey and full of sleep”(1). Then man asks the women “How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your breath with love false or true”(5-6). The man could be showing that he loved her truly, while others feelings were fake. Finally the man tells how, “a little sadly how love fled”(10).  It seems one of them didn’t love the other, and the man reflects on that.
